It Was a Dark and Stormy Night…………..
But still the people of Wiveliscombe and it’s surrounds turned out to see the Town Hall Trust’s latest fundraiser ‘We are Bronte’. Wivey’s increasingly busy event calendar meant that the show needed to be held for 15 minutes to allow those watching the fireworks to move onto Kingsmead. For the third year running the Town Hall Trust has put on an innovative and quirky theatre production, this year, Publick Transport’s hilarious interpretation of the real and imaginary worlds of the Brontes.
Intelligent, innovative and utterly silly in equal measure the audience engaged with the performance very enthusiastically. Audience participation during the ‘question and answer’ session was fun and brilliant even Kate Bush got an airing for those expecting her to turn up.
