The Town Hall, which has been closed for 68 years, has had its iconic arched windows revealed as the boards are stripped away and the Hall sees the light of day. This milestone moment marks the beginning of an exciting new phase in the planned renovation and rebirth of this treasured community space. One side window has already been renovated and now we can see what needs to be done to the front windows. It feels like the Town Hall is finally starting to wake up and being in such a prominent position, really improves the look of the Square for everyone. Over the coming years the plan is to transform the hall into a vibrant cultural hub for the entire town and surrounding areas, with the help of significant fundraising and support. Keep your ‘eyes’ open for ways to help, and up coming fundraising events!
